This last weekend we made a trip up to Philadelphia to visit Alicia's sister Emily and her family. It was an amazing trip! We saw the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Valley Forge, and were able to see some of the city of Phily. My favorite part was Independence Hall. I was able to actually stand in the very room that the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution were signed! The spirit of the room was so strong when I thought of what started there. The freedom of hundreds of millions of living and dead Americans began in that very room as well as how American freedom has influenced the world. Needless to say, it was a humbling experience.
We also had a really fun time with Emily, Charles, Skyler and Saydie. They have been living in the north east US for a few months and we were so happy to spend the day with them. Thanks Charles and Emily for such a great day!
